The Beatles "Hey Jude" and Franz Liszt's "Un Sospiro"
The British rock band The Beatles and classical composer Franz Liszt have many similar traits. The songs which will be analyzed are “Hey JudeUn Sospiro,” the third of Franz Liszt's “Three Concert Etudes.” From these two songs, I will analyze the musical structure of each, including the melody and harmony as well as their influence on their genres.
